Ultra processed foods linked to diabetes and cancer research | Ultra-processed foods increase the risk of diabetes and cancer! Low amount of food is also narrowing, claim in research

Ultra processed foods: According to a new research, regular intake of ultra-processed foods such as processed meats, sugar-rich drinks and trans fatty acids can also increase the risk of serious diseases like diabetes, heart disease and cancer. Researchers at the Institute for Health Metrix and Evolution of Washington University said in their study published in the journal ‘Nature Medicine’ that taking processed meat from 0.6 grams to 57 grams daily can increase the risk of type 2 diabetes by at least 11 percent. At the same time, consuming 0.78 grams to 55 grams per day can be 7 percent higher at the risk of colorectal cancer. In addition, eating 50 grams of processed meat per day increases the risk of ischemic heart disease (IHD) by 15 percent.

Low amount of food is also risky

Sugar-sweetened Beverages can increase the risk of consumption type 2 diabetes from 1.5 grams to 390 grams daily and the risk of heart disease can increase by 2 percent. Researchers said that the danger increases rapidly even in small quantities, ie a serving or less food every day.

Caution about ultra-processed food

This research suggests that we should eat processed meat (such as packet off meat), sweet beverages and trans-fat items. Researchers say that there is a need to create a health check-up structure together and carefully for ultra-processed foods.

Risk of these diseases

Conclusions have shown that whatever amount of these foods are eaten, the danger increases, and the fastest danger increases when you consume them in small amounts daily. Many of the earlier research also described ultra-processed foods, especially processed meats, drinks and trans fatty acids related to the increased risk of chronic diseases.

It is estimated that in 2021, around 3 lakh deaths worldwide were caused by processed meat food, while millions of people suffered physical disability due to sugar-rich drinks and trans fat diet. Researchers advised that processed meats, sugar containing drinks and trans fatty acids need to be reduced.

Researchers reported that this happens because the processed meat is kept safe by mixing smoking, curing or chemical, which often contains elements such as N-nitroso agent, polycyclic aeromatic hydrocarbons and heterocyclic amines. All these elements are helpful in becoming tumors.
