According to the report of the US National Library of Medicine, Dronapushpi’s scientific name is Lucas Aspera. The plant contains an element called tricterpenoids, including oleanolic acid, yersolic acid, and beta-sitosterol. The leaves of this plant contain many types of oily and aromatic substances, of which U-Pharnisine, X-Thuzine and Menthol are the highest. Flowers also contain certain elements like amyl propionate and isoemil propionate. Its seeds contain many types of fatty acids. The stems and roots of the plant contain an element called leukoclactone.
It is also very helpful in stomach problems. If you have problems like indigestion, gas, flatulence or diarrhea, then eating Dronapushpi vegetable or by making a decoction makes the digestive system strong and also increases appetite. Dronapushpi also brings relief for people suffering from arthritis and joint pain. Consuming its decoction or applying leaves reduces swelling and gives relief in pain. Skin related diseases like ringworm, itching, wounds or other infections also benefit from applying juice or paste of its leaves, as it has antiseptic and inflammation -lowering properties.
Drinking decoction of its seeds is beneficial in the problem of sleeplessness. Apart from this, Dronapushpi also helps in diseases like anemia, diabetes and epilepsy. It cleanses the body from inside and makes the immune system strong. There are many ways to take Dronapushpi, but keep in mind that do not take it without the advice of Ayurvedic doctor, because sometimes its excessive amount of it can cause stomach irritation or allergies.
