Let us know what Ayurvedic experts say, and how to do home remedies for sore throat.
BAMS of Ayas Ayurvedic Hospital, MD Dr. Harsh says that sore throat is often due to some of our habits. When we eat desi ghee or oil items in the food, and soon after that we drink cold water, especially the fridge water, it damages the throat. Lubrication and cold water together affect the throat mucus lining, causing soreness and pain.
Take care of these important things
First of all, water should be drunk at least 15 minutes after eating, so that there is no unnecessary pressure on the throat. Avoid drinking very cold water, especially fridge water. Instead, it is more beneficial to consume fresh or pot water. If you have consumed a lubricant food like ghee or oil items, then avoid drinking water immediately after that, because it can cause a problem of sore throat.
Dr. Harsh says that immediate use of these things can give relief as soon as there is a sore throat.
